Website design, hosting & care services. Trading name in progress: Majobri Web Studio (Florida fictitious name registration pending) — work is currently performed, invoiced, and governed under my own legal name. Last updated October 13, 2026.
These terms apply to anyone who purchases a website design, hosting, or care plan ("Service") from Brian Montenegro ("Provider"). Purchasing a plan, or checking the agreement box at checkout, means you've read and agree to these terms.
Provider designs and builds a custom website based on the scope agreed in your proposal, then hosts and looks after it while your plan is active. Every plan has a one-time launch fee (a down payment) plus a monthly fee for hosting, care and maintenance. Your proposal states which plan applies to you and its exact prices.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your first payment covers the one-time launch fee plus your first month. After that, the monthly fee is charged automatically on the same day each month. If a payment fails and isn't resolved within 7 days, your plan ends in the same way as a cancellation (§5).
Your domain name. If you already own a domain, you keep owning it. You remain the registrant and keep your registrar account. You give Provider only the access needed to point it at your website (DNS records) and to set up the services in your plan. Provider will not transfer, renew, let lapse or change the registrant of a domain you own.
A domain registered for you. If Provider registers a new domain for your business, it is registered with your business as the registrant (owner). While your plan is active, Provider manages its technical settings and renewals. When your plan ends, Provider gives you what you need to move it (the transfer code and current DNS records) before its next renewal date. Provider will not let a domain registered for you lapse without telling you first.
Hosting and technical setup. While your plan is active, Provider hosts the site and manages the technical setup it needs: DNS records for the website, SSL, the request form and lead delivery. This is a service Provider performs for you. It does not give Provider ownership of your domain, your business name, your logo, your photos, or the text and information you supply.
Your content. Text, photos, logos and business information you supply stay yours. You give Provider permission to use them to build, host and display your site during the plan, and for portfolio use under §8 unless you opt out.
The website design and code. Provider keeps ownership of the site's design, code and templates. Your plan gives you a licence to use them for your site while your plan is active.
Cancel any time; there's no minimum term and no cancellation fee. To cancel yourself, open the billing page and enter the email you paid with; Stripe emails you a one-time sign-in link. There you can cancel, update your card, and see your receipts. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. You can also simply ask Provider to cancel for you. Any refund owed under this section is issued by Provider after it sees the cancellation. When your plan ends (you cancel, or a payment failure isn't fixed within 7 days), the hosted site is taken offline and Provider stops managing its DNS records. A domain you own stays yours, and Provider gives you a list of the records it set so you or another provider can take over. A domain registered for you is handled as described in §4. Requests already collected by the site's form are kept until their automatic 90-day deletion and are not exported, unless you ask for a copy before your plan ends.
If Provider doesn't deliver. If Provider does not deliver your site ready for launch within 30 days after you have provided everything listed in your proposal (business details, photos, approvals), you may cancel and receive a full refund of the launch fee and every monthly fee paid. Delays caused by waiting on you do not count toward the 30 days.
If you cancel before launch. Before Provider sends you the first draft of your site: a full refund of the launch fee and monthly fees paid. After the first draft is sent but before launch: 50% of the launch fee and all monthly fees paid are refunded.
If you cancel after launch. No refund. The launch fee is not refunded (the work is complete and delivered), and monthly fees already paid are not refunded or prorated. Your site stays live until the end of the month you've paid for, then it is taken down.
If a project stalls. If Provider is waiting on you for 60 days and you don't respond to two reminders, Provider may close the project. That counts as a cancellation at whatever stage it reached.
How refunds are paid. To the original payment method, within 10 business days of the cancellation request.
You're responsible for giving accurate business information, providing content (text, images) you have the right to use, and reasonably timely feedback during the build.
Provider doesn't promise a specific amount of traffic, leads, calls, or sales from your website. A good website is one part of getting found and chosen by customers — it isn't a guarantee of business outcomes.
Provider may reference completed work in a portfolio or as an example of past work, unless you opt out in writing.
The Service is provided as-is. To the extent allowed by law, Provider's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you've paid in the 3 months before the claim arose.
